| Airbus relies on Adatica once again for the tuning of its tanker aircraft |
|
On September 9, Airbus Military made public its decision to select Adatica, in collaboration with Safran Engineering Services, for the tuning of tanker aircraft facilities for the RAF. This is not the first time Adatica performs this type of work for Airbus, as in May 2009 it was also selected for the development of the A330MRTT installations for the Australian Army. The development of these installations involves correcting assembly problems in the most efficient possible manner, taking into account which has been the source of the problem. Solving these problems is often technically more complex than creating new designs, as it requires extensive knowledge of the history of the installation, and solving problems within preestablished boundarie conditions, whilst taking into account possible future works. It is estimated that this project will involve the completion of approximately 100 new parts and components, which will be integrated into 50 modified installations. These will include fuel , hydraulics, air conditioning, and de-icing systems. Adatica is the only company that has participated in the entire tuning development of the MRTT aircraft, the first two for the RAAF and this one for the FSTA. |
